im pretty sure most of you know what is the meaning of banana.not the fruit im talking about,but the word to describe people who is a chinese,but dont know how to speak one and only know english.i used to hate 'bananas' a lot,because they always think they are better than us just because of their better english.so?they never understood chinese,not to mention to speak in that language. I dont mind people are good in languages,but at least,please...know how to speak your mother language. never forget the fact that your ancestors were from china and we still have some traditions to follow. Sometimes, they would have felt ashamed as a chinese due to some old,tradition stuffs. One of my housemate last time, her brother, hates chinese so much that he cried when his parents sent him to chinese school.=.= He complained that he is NOT a chinese,why should he learns chinese?see.why cant a family keep both languages?it might be hard,but at least we can try. i know english is important,so does chinese. so, remember we are chinese.never be ashamed of that fact.
